--- from eMercedesBenz, CLICK HERE for original article.

That metallic tenorite gray Mercedes-Benz GLK 320 CDI pictured above is the first of the new SUV range to find a home with a private customer, and to commemorate the GLK's historic launch, plant manager Peter Schabert handed over the keys to the new SUV personally at the Customer Center of Mercedes' Bremen plant. During the event, Peter noted "The GLK is our most important new model this year. It is the first compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) from Mercedes-Benz and the first Mercedes-Benz SUV ‘Made in Bremen’, so I am particularly delighted to personally hand over the first GLK to its owner. I am sure she will be impressed by its unmistakable look, outstanding performance - on and off the road - and its safety and comfort."

SLC AT THE RING

--- from GlobalMotors.net, CLICK HERE for original article and photo gallery.

Spy pics of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Gullwing continue to make their way onto the interweb, with a number of shots being published yesterday from the increasingly famous Nurburgring.

Despite the heavy masking, a few new details seem evident in this latest crop of photos (retro grille, the rear wing will probably be an active air-brake, like on the SLR, rear exhausts, etc.), but we'll have to wait and see how many of these "details" are just illusions and camouflage.

SLC CAUGHT STATESIDE

--- from Automotive Traveller, CLICK HERE for original article and hi-res photo gallery.

While this test mule is under some unique, hard-sided camouflage, it is obvious what we were looking at: the successor to the current Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. But this one will be an in-house affair with AMG being the main development partner. Even with the camouflage, this looks like it's going 200 MPH standing still!

MB GULLWING SPY PHOTOS

--- from eMercedesBenz, CLICK HERE for the original article and photo gallery.

There have been rumors circulating for some time now that Mercedes-Benz is in the process of resurrecting the legendary Gullwing, but up until now, photographic evidence has revealed little about the model. Today, however, that's all about to change, as we have some incredible shots showcasing the model from a number of different angles. To my knowledge, it's the fist time the new Gullwing doors have been caught on camera.

Aside from the photos, facts about the Mercedes SLC remain scarce. Most speculate the model will be priced above the next SL range but well below the current SLR (somewhere in the neighborhood of $200,000), with power expected to come from AMG's 6.3-Liter V8 boasting an enhanced output of around 600 horsepower.

At this point, however, it's still anyone's guess what the final specifications will be.

RENNTECH REMOTE LOWERING MODULE

RENNTECH has updated its multi-processor digital lowering module to make installation and adjustment quicker and easier, with a unique, full-featured remote control.

"This lowering module was all-new in February already," says Hartmut Feyhl, RENNTECH's president and ex technical director at AMG North America. "As always, the module is 100% digital and fully adjustable, with the same microprocessors to communicate with the car's electronics. With the remote control, we have added functions like speed control settings, and the display has made fine adjustments easier."

RENNTCH’s digital lowering module continues to offer individual adjustment for each of the car's four wheels, along with updated processors and the ability to set different heights for different speeds, a check for the latest hardware and firmware versions, and more - with an easy-to-use graphic user interface that works like your favorite MP3 player.

The new, remote-ready digital lowering module is available for all Mercedes-Benz and AMG models with ABC or Airmatic air suspension.
